Dorothy "Dot" Mae (Phillips) Golemme died Tuesday, November 4th 2014. Dot was born in New Hampshire on January 6, 1927. Raised in Abington, she was a 1944 graduate of Abington High School. She resided in Rockland after her marriage to the late Henry J. Golemme. She was predeceased by her mother, Beatrice (Withers) Phillips and father Everett L. Phillips. Dot dedicated her life to her family and home. Her family and many others were the very fortunate recipients of her beautiful needlework. She was known as the "Card Lady" because she always remembered her family and many many others with greeting cards for every occasion. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Henry and Gerri Golemme, Donna and Richard Chandler and Raymond and Alice Golemme. Dot was the very proud grandmother of six grandchildren. Tina and Paul McDougall, Douglas and Kari Golemme, Julie and Guy Gelardi, Jason and Kristin Chandler, Nicholas Golemme, and Eric and Ashley Chandler. She enjoyed the love and laughter of seven great grandchildren. Ellianna Gelardi, Olivia Golemme, Steven McDougall, Benett Gelardi, Rachael Golemme, Sophia McDougall, and Payton Mae Chandler. Dot was happily anticipating the births in 2015 of two additional great grandchildren. The Golemme Family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate her life on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 3-6 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. Rockland. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Abington.
