Dorothy L. (Little) Arkell, 91 of Rockland died on April 18, 2008 at the the Southwood at Norwell Nursing Center. She was born in Hanover, daughter of the late Clarence and June (Henderson) Little and was raised and educated there. She had been a longtime Rockland resident. Dorothy retired in 1981 from the Galinski Clothing Co. where she had been a seamstress for over 20 years. S he was the mother of Lorraine M. Hodge of NH and the late John R. Arkell, Jr. She was the mother in law of Patricia Arkell of Quincy. Dorothy was the sister of Arlene Snowdale of Norwell and the late Norman Little, Bud Little, Ruth Ames and Eleanor Jacques. Also surviving are granddaughters Kathleen Arkell of Wollaston, Karen Pappone of Brockton and great grand daughter Nicole Pappone as well as several loving nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held on April 27th at 1:30 PM in the Rockland VFW 22 Church Street.
