Obituary For Dorothy “Dolly” P. Leo
Dorothy P. (Dolly) Leo, age 81, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Dolly was the devoted wife of the late Michael D. Leo for almost 40 years. He was the love of her life, unconditionally.
She was the daughter of the late William H MacPherson and Dorothy (McGrath) MacPherson of Hanover, MA. She was one of five siblings and will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Barbara (MacPherson) Floyd and husband Kenny of Hanover, Mary (MacPherson) Kelley and husband John of Pembroke, and her brothers Robert MacPherson and wife Linda of Forestdale, the late William H MacPherson Jr. and wife Carolee of Rockland.
Dolly's legacy of love will continue to flourish through her children. Dolly was the beloved mother of Mary Ellen Leone, Wayne Tremblay and wife Christine, Kathleen Alix and husband Kevin, Michelle Bishop and husband Kevin, Jennifer Nathan and husband Donald. She cherished her grandchildren Cheryl Calderone, Domenic Calderone and wife Allyson Calderone, Kayla and Amber Nathan and Joe and Jess Tremblay. Dolly also held a special place in the hearts of her great-grandchildren, Nevaeha and Liliana, many cousins, aunts and uncles alike.
Dolly lived a life filled with warmth, joy and unwavering devotion to those around her. Sharing her dreams and wishes with her one true love, Michael. As high school sweethearts, they created and shared a beautiful life together, enriched with family memories. Twelve of those years were spent in sunny Las Vegas where they had the time of their lives enjoying the honeymoon of a lifetime.
A woman who embraced life's simple pleasures with open arms. She found joy in Bingo nights and poker games with friends and family. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of home-cooked meals and baked goodies, especially during the holidays when she created treasured traditions that will live on for generations. She loved sunbathing on warm days, camping trips to Blueberry Hill, barbequing under summer skies and swimming with family surrounded by laughter. Her contagious laughter echoed through countless family gatherings, bringing smiles to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Dolly gave love freely and received it abundantly in return. Her generous spirit touched many lives, many friends became family under her care.
Dolly enjoyed a fulfilling career as a retail manager at Lady Grace, where her dedication and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on both colleagues and customers. Her commitment to her work reflected the same care she extended to all areas of her life. Whether managing the day-to-day operations or offering a kind word to a customer in need of encouragement, Dolly brought grace and compassion into every interaction.
May Dorothy's memory bring comfort to those who knew her and serve as a lasting reminder of a life beautifully lived.
