Donald E.Brine, 78, left this world on 5/14/2026, peacefully at the Beth Israel hospital.
Donald was born on 12/2/1947 in Tampa, Florida, the son of Donald Edward Brine Sr. and Shirley Coughlin Brine, who later remarried Roland Bryson. He grew up in Rockland, Mass., later moving to Carver, Mass., where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep love for his family. After graduating from Rockland High School in 1966, he pursued a career in Shipbuilding,which he dedicated himself to for 25 years. Along with moving on to other companies.
A loving Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. He was a devoted father, always there to offer guidance, love, and a hearty laugh. He cherished family gatherings, and his presence at holidays and celebrations brought warmth and joy to those around him.
Donald “Don” “Teddy” had many passions in life, including going to BJ’s and watching sports, which he enjoyed sharing with his children and grandchildren. He was known for his sense of humor and could light up any room.
He is survived by his children, Rebecca Mahoney of Carver and her husband Chris, Rachel Neil of Carver and her husband Dennis, and Son Donald E. Brine III of Forestdale and 6 grandchildren, the late Dennis Neil III, Amanda, Krystal and Brittany Neil of Carver, Emma and Marlee Mahoney also of Carver. Don also has 4 great grandchildren, Dillion Cadogan, Zachary Adams,Kinsley Adams, and Paislee Mueller of Carver. He is also survived by his brother Kevin Bryson of Maine and his longtime partner Dee, as well as his nieces, Danielle and Lee, and friends, especially Steve MacDonald, who will miss him dearly.
A funeral service to celebrate Donald’s life will be held to be announced at Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, located at 136 Union Street, Rockland, Mass. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to MSPCA-Angell in Donald's memory.
Rest in peace, dear father. Your memory will live on in our hearts forever, and we will never forget you were the man with the “Athlete’s Heart”.

I am so very, very sorry to hear this. Don was a great friend to me and my late husband, Gino since our teenage years! He was an absolute gentleman and so much fun to be around! We will miss him!

I will always remember Donnie as a very kind person and who took great care of his Mom i knew Donnie for over 65 years we were neighbors and our moms were the best of friends growing up we lived across the street from each other. rest in peace Donnie. Bobby Connors
