ROCKLAND – Diane Mary Solari, 83, of Rockland, passed away unexpectantly after a brief illness, on Thursday, May 29, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Diane was born in Waltham, MA to the late Catherine and Christo Harris. She was married for 65 years to the late Victor W. Solari.

Diane is survived by daughter Donna (Solari) Sampson and husband Andy Sampson of Sandwich, daughter Vicki Lee Solari (deceased), son David Solari and wife Darlene Solari of Kingston, son Derek Solari and wife Jenn Solari of Hanson, daughter Danielle (Solari) Larouco and husband Armando Larouco of Rockland, daughter Deanna (Solari) Sicurella of Colorado Springs, and sister Elaine Finn. Her 11 grandchildren, Leanne Sampson, Jonathan Sampson, Alexandra Bachelder, Nicholas Solari, Marissa Solari, Adam Solari, Allie Solari, Matthew Solari, Cailey Larouco, Cooper Larouco, Roman Sicurella and her 2 great grandchildren, Kaiden Bachelder and Carter Bachelder, were the light of her life.

She loved their home in Rockland that she resided in for 63years. It was a gathering place for so many of their children’s friends and family members. Swimming in the pool, riding dirt bikes in the backyard, playing board games with the grandkids and 6:00pm dinners, were what everyone became used to.

She enjoyed cruising in her 2006 Ford Mustang equipped with a “Hockey Nannie” sticker “rocking out” to her tunes. She was a huge sports fan and was always ready to brave the cold rink to watch a good hockey game. No one loved sports the way she did-Bruins, Patriots, sports talk radio, etc. She was always on top of the latest headline.

Diane enjoyed all things Disney, reading books, watching her soap operas, telling stories and especially giving her opinion! She was a sharp, savvy, strong-willed woman who’s loving spirit will continue to inspire and guide us all.

A celebration of life will be planned and announced in the near future.
