David S. Whittaker passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on January 25, 2025, at age 83. He was predeceased by his wife, Dale Whittaker. David is survived by two children and daughter-in-law, Kelly Milligan, Hanover, MA, and Bill (Colleen) McFarland, Houston, TX. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Madison Milligan and Seamus, Abaigeal and David McFarland, three siblings, Ronald “Whit”, Versailles, KY, Alan, Marshfield, MA and Susan Rossi, Marshfield, MA, and many nieces and nephews.

Born in Waltham, MA, David was the son of Harold and Merrion Whittaker. He moved often during his younger life throughout New England before joining the Navy. His naval career included time spent aboard the USS Warrington,participating in various military events about which he enjoyed sharing stories. David was known for his unwavering dedication and work-ethic in his professional life working for Motorola and Cyber Communications where he spent most of his time repairing the MA State Police radio equipment. He had many hobbies but was best known as an avid pool player enjoying the strategy and precision of the game. He was never quick to speak, as he was an attentive listener, but always shared his wisdom and generosity. He was loved by many.

David will forever be known for his devotion to the love of his life, Dale.
