Obituary For David Murphy
David A. Murphy of Halifax, MA, 78, passed into the loving arms of his Creator on Thursday, November 19, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife, Doreen; sisters, Patricia Woodard of Marshfield, MA and Nancy Rau of FL; son, Scott (Elizabeth) Murphy of Shohola, PA; daughters Sherri (Ralph) Fraser, of Vero Beach, FL and Deidra (Steve) Howard of Laurel, DL; Stephen (Atsuko) of Braintree, MA and Sean (Brianne Manley) Griffin of York, ME; grandchildren: Amanda, Joshua, Julia and Adam, (Howard); Alyssa, Ryan, and Logan (Fraser); Elena and Charlotte Griffin and Adeline Murphy, as well as many nieces, nephews and loving in-laws; predeceased by brothers Daniel (Florence) and James of Acworth, GA.
Dave was retired from Mastria Auto of Raynham, MA where he loved the people he worked with and the work he did. Early in his adult life, Dave was a police officer, traveling mechanic, and the go to person known as Mr. Fix It. He was a railway enthusiast, visiting sites whenever he traveled both here and Europe. Dave enjoyed flying his plane, driving his boats, motorcycles & later in life, his scooters. But his new electric bike was a source of frustration! He enjoyed having every new electronic and digital device as it came on the market and relished answering questions and solving problems regarding them. Dave was loved by all who knew him and we were better humans because of him. He had a great love of God and a strong faith that a better life was in the hereafter.
A celebration of Dave's life will take place when allowed after Covid restrictions have been lifted. If you would like to be notified, please get in touch with Doreen at David Murphy Celebration of Life Event on Facebook.
