Obituary For David M. Muise

David M. Muise, 62 of Halifax died on February 9, 2016 at the Southwood at Norwell Nursing Facility. He was born in Quincy, son of the late Daniel and Winifred (Caristi) Muise. He was raised and educated in Weymouth having attended Sacred Heart Grammar and High Schools.

Mr. Muise attended Massasoit Community College, Bryant College and Boston State College. He had been employed for twenty years at Graybar Electric in their sales department. He then worked for several years as a Deputy Sheriff for Plymouth County David was a member of the Halifax Council on Aging. He was the founder of an annual golf tournament called the Friendship Open that has been played at the South Shore Country Club for the past 28 years.

He is survived by his wife Marylee (Archibald) Muise and his son Bryan P. Muise and his wife Shelly of Dover, Delaware. He was the grandfather of Shea Millman and Charlie Muise. Also surviving are his siblings, Barbara A. Fleming and her husband Dennis of Weymouth, Peter J. Muise and his wife Robin of Marion and several nieces and nephews. The Muise family welcomes loved ones and friends to celebrate his life on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, Rockland from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 580 Monponsett St in Halifax on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11:00AM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Halifax Council on Aging 506 Plymouth St. Halifax, MA 02338.
