Obituary For David Heshion

David Heshion ,64, of Taunton. Died on April 11, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in Boston to the late Charles and Agnes (Brown) Heshion. He was raised and educated in Rockland, graduating from Rockland High School in 1972. David had a life-long fascination with outer space. That fascination eventually led to him founding his own space education company, "Dave Heshion's History of Rockets and Space Flight.' Through his company's mission, Mr. Heshion was able to educate thousands of children across the country about the wonders of space flight over the course of 34 years. He ran "The Adventures in Space" for over 20 years.

David was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the local professional teams. He especially liked hockey, was a long time coach for The South Shore Braves. He loved going to the movies and traveling. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Mr. Heshion was the beloved Husband of Elaine S. (Semchenko) Heshion of Taunton. Father of Joseph C. Heshion of Taunton. Brother of Charles R. Heshion of Rockland. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life on Tuesday April 23, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 AM on Wednesday April 24, 2019 in The Holy Family Church in Rockland.

Had a passing memory today and looked you up on the internet David and found this. I'll always remember your courage putting on rings before going into a fistacuffs, and I'm thanking you now for letting one slip by you when you were goalie and I was trying out for CYO team. Played shinny hockey w/Dave @ the old Rockland rink in the early 70's. We drove the manager there(bob donlan) crazy, taking slap shots @ the plexiglass....lol.....rest in peace Dave
