David A. Stoddard passed away from cancer on April 20th.

David was born in Brockton to the late Everett and Priscilla (Putter) Stoddard, and grew up in Hanover. He graduated from Hanover High School and then went on to post grad schooling at South Shore Vocational Technical High School, where he became a machinist. David also served in the Navy and was stationed at Guantanamo Bay during the Vietnam War.

David, for the last 54 years, has worked at many machine shops including; Cohasset Industries, Pfizer in Norwood, H.H. Arnold in Rockland, Truex in Hanover, and most recently Concert Medical in Norwell. When not working, David enjoyed horse back riding, motorcycle rides along the backroads, bird hunting, mostly fishing the South Shore ponds.

David was predeceased by his long time partner, Marion Davidson. He leaves behind her children, whom he considered his own; Michael of Carver, and Michele of California. He also leaves his sister, Dale Hoppen of Sandwich along with her children and grandsons, plus his cousins.

We will postpone a celebration of life in honor of David until it is safe for all those who loved and knew him can come together.
