When I read Kevin Cullen's column in yesterday's Boston Globe, I was saddened to learn that Dan had died. Because I am not able to come to you in person, I wanted to use this guestbook as a way of offering my sincerest sympathy and prayers. You do not know me but I knew Dan, his sister, Ginny and his parents, not only because they lived near me here in Melrose but because his father was my godfather. In fact, his father always maintained that he introduced my father to my mother. They were together at an American Legion convention in Detroit and my mother was there also. I shall pray that God will comfort you and bring you peace as you experience the periods of loneliness and sorrow which will come. Sincerely,
