Obituary For Dana W. Chaffee

Dana W. Chaffee, 56 of Rockland died on August 28, 2013, afer a period of failing health. He was born in Boston son of the late, Lawrence, and Esther L. (Murphy) Chaffee. Dana was raised and educated in Rockland, and was a graduate of the South Shore Vocational Technical High School.

Dana worked for over 30 years for the Russelelectric Company, as a sheet metal technician. Mr. Chaffee also worked for several years at 123 Bicycle in Hanover.

Mr. Chaffee was predeceased by his wife, Beverly A. (Bates) Chaffee. Dana is survived by his brother Lawrence "Larry" Chaffee of Rockland. Step Father of Linda O'Brien of SC, Carlos Hill of NH, Sharon Wheeler of FL, Ronald Hill Jr. of WI, Jo Bradford of FL, and Jerry Hill of Taunton. Son in law of Myrtle Bates of Abington.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 3, 2013 from 4-8 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. Rockland, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday September 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Holy Family Church in Rockland. Burial will follow the in the Holy Family Cemetery. Donations in Dana's name may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute 450 Brookline Ave, Boston MA 02215.
