Obituary For Dana A. Lupica
Dana A. Lupica, 75 years old, of Duxbury MA, passed away on May 6, 2026 after a long battle with cancer in which he never once gave up and put up a very tough fight!
Dana was born in Brockton, MA on November 5th 1950, and moved to Rockland with his family and eventually graduated from Rockland High School in 1969.
Dana was predeceased by his identical twin brother and best friend, Dino Lupica.
"Dana and Dino" were rarely apart, they worked together, and eventually lived together again. They we're both fierce protectors of their family, friends, "The little guy" and of what was right and wrong.
He is survived by his reason for living and most cherished daughter, Cristina Lupica, and his one and only grandson Aiden, both of Hanover.
Dana also raised Cristina's siblings, the late Alicia Bushman and Michael "Mikey" Bushman with his longtime love, the late Deirdre Bushman.
Dana is the son of Donah Sergio of Bridgewater and the late Armand Lupica. Stepson of late Gertrude Lupica and late Mathew Sergio.
Dana also leaves behind his siblings: Linda Dunn & (Phil) of Rockland Ma,
GiGi Marino & (Mike) of Bridgewater, Mathew Jay Sergio & (Lori) Abington, and Anthony Sergio & (Tara) of Bridgewater. As well as his Godchildren: Nicole, Josh, and Jude and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He worked various jobs from moving pianos, to antiques, driving oil trucks for Hanson Fuel, Kingston Oil, and Volta Oil. Manager of Marshfield Liquors and Plymouth Liquors, and delivered mail for Cape Cod Express.
Dana will be sadly and deeply missed. He was truly the most incredible father who gave his daughter and everyone else he loved, everything and anything! Including frequent trips to Toys R' Us and Leo's penny candy store in Marshfield. As well as teaching us to be strong, compassionate, kind, independent, and loving adults.
Dana was also an incredible grandpa, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be sorely missed by so many!
Services will be held Tuesday May 12, 2026 at 11:00am at Holy Family Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Condolences
