Obituary For Corinne M. Levangie

Corinne M. Levangie 50, of Rockland died at the South Shore Hospital on Monday after a period of failing health. She was born in Quincy daughter of William, and Eugenie (Reardon) Levangie. Corinne was raised and educated in Rockland graduating from Rockland High School in 1980. Following High School Ms.Levangie graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration.

Corinne worked for many years for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Company in Rockland and in Hingham. She was a member of "Catholic Connections" and Holy Family Church in Rockland where she was a parishioner. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and attending craft fairs.

Corinne is survived by her siblings, William E. Levangie III of Rockland, Peter M. Levangie of Rockland, and Suzanne G. (Levangie) Tuftsof Rockland. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate her life at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. Rockland on Friday October 4, at 8:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on that same morning in Holy Family Church, 403 Union St. Rockland at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284

    I worked with Corinne at EDS and admired her focus on her work. I love the name Corinne and enjoyed hearing her recount the origins of the name Levangie. As a Holy Family parishioner I just heard today of her passing and wished to express my sympathy for your loss.

    So sorry to hear about the loss of your beautiful sister. Corinne's was the most happy person that I ever met. Always smiling and so cheerful. I loved her. She always had a big hug for me and called me "Mama. I will miss her and will keep her in my prayers. I will keep all her family in my prayers and hope it will help to heal your pain. Corinne will be sadly missed. These next few days will be hard but God will be with you all helping each of you to get thru these dark days ahead. God Bless!
