Obituary For Coleen E. Evans

Coleen "Eloise" (Scott) Evans, 65, of Rockland, died on April 5, 2016 at the South Shore Hospital. She spent years battling cancer and was doing well but died suddenly of heart failure. She was born and raised in Weymouth, then later raised her family in Rockland.

Eloise had an amazing strength and will to live. Surviving the deaths of two of her three children and a long battle with lymphoma, a heart can only take so much. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.. She will be sadly missed by so many. Eloise loved to cook for her family and watch the Patriots on Sundays. She knit Christmas stockings for all of her children, their spouses and her grandchildren that they will cherrish for life. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family who lovingly knew her as Grandma Da or "Weezie." Eloise was the Daughter of the late Ramona (Rae Rae) and William (Bill) Schubert of Haifax and Russell Scott. She was the loving Wife of Christopher Evans of Norwell. Mother of, Coleen Wormald Geary and Son In Law Brian Geary of Rockland, the late Lee-Ann Wormald Stearns, and Daniel Wormald. Sister of Mona Scott of NV, and Maureen Scott Lofgren of WA.Grandmother of Tyler Stearns, Ashlee Stearns, Renee Burnett, Hope Geary, Sean Geary, and Kaleigh Howard. Also survived by many Nieces and Nephews. The Evans family would like to invite relatives and friends to join them as they celebrate Eloise's life at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union Street, Rockland on Monday, April 11,2016 from 5:00-8:00 pm. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Tuesday April12, 2016, at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Dana- Farber Cancer Institute.
