Claire R. Cronin (Leonard), 90, of Rockland, died on October 19, 2019. She will be dearly missed by so many, but we find comfort in knowing the love of her life, Tim was waiting for her for their long awaited reunion.

Claire was born in Boston Daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Cotter) Leonard and was raised and educated in Roxbury. Claire enjoyed reading and keeping a beautiful, decorated home where she lived for nearly 60 years. Even after losing her husband 25 years ago, Claire was an example of what it meant to be a strong, independent woman - who lived a full life. She loved traveling, especially with her friends at the Rockland senior center. She was a member of The Rockland Council on Aging and The Friends of The Rockland Seniors. Claire refused to ever slow down- serving meals to the elderly when she was well into her eighties. Anyone who knew her knows she was a tough, no non-sense woman, but who was incredibly loving and bragged about her family to anyone who would listen.

Her greatest pride and accomplishments were her seven children, 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. And just as much as she loved them, they adored her.

Claire was the Wife of the late Timothy Cronin. Mother of Karen Armstrong and her Husband Richard of Rockland, Timothy J. Cronin and his Wife Kathleen of Rockland, Denise Johnson and her Husband Steven of Whitman, Michael Cronin and his Wife Kim of FL, Claire Ferris and her Husband Brenden of Whitman, Daniel Cronin and his Wife Kathleen of Gardner, and Cheryl Cronin-Messier and her Husband Steven of Rockland.

The Cronin Family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Claire's life in The Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. Rockland MA 02370 on Thursday, October 24 from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in The Holy Family Church in Rockland on Friday October 25, at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow in The Holy Family Cemetery.
