We have shared many happy times and sad times too lately. Chris was a good person and a wonderful mother. She had a big heart in a small body. We all will truly miss her and know that she found happiness now with God. My favorite memories with the Wood family was when my whole family would visit and stay with them in Rockland. We shared alot of laughs, especially with our parents listening to music, sing and dance. Chris was very close to my brother Jimmy, who has since passed away. I know now they are together looking at us all and saying do not be sad. Even though they are not right at our sides, they are still with us always.

I met Chris through our mutual friend Ann. I will always remember her for her smile and her laugh. I took great joy in teasing her about her height and on more than one occasion would ask her to stand up so everyone could hear her when she was already standing. I was reminded by Ann that I made a shadow box for her daughters special items that Christine wanted to display. I will never forget how touched she was that I would make something like that for her daughter. This simple little act was so important to her it was touching. She knew her daughter would love it. I will cherish that memory of my friend Christine.

My heart goes out to Christine's family. Christine was the sweetest, kindest person I ever had the opportunity of meeting. We met working together at DYS for 12 years. She saved my life 18 years ago when she brought me to my first meeting. I was 30 yrs old and by the Grace of God, I have been sober since. God works through people. He put Chris in my life for a reason. The funniest memory I can remember is when she wore these God aweful sun glasses that were shaped like a butterfly. I hated those things One day we were driving and I asked if I could see them, she took them off and gave them to me to look at. I whipped them out the car window. She told me I just made the Indian cry and without skipping a beat, Christine pulled open her glove box and took out "her second pair" of the same sunglasses and put them on her face. I couldn't believe my eyes. I thought we were going to get in a wreck from laughing. She was not just a friend to me, she was my soul sister. She is now one of God's angels that I can talk too every day. I love you Chris.
