Although we moved to Florida, we still have our Hanson friends, and that is how I learned about the passing of Chris. Thank you for sharing the beautiful family video, and her beautiful smile is throughout the entire video. She was such a brave lady who fought that ugly disease with strength and dignity. Thank you for entrusting your children with me in Kindergarten at the Maquan School in Hanson. They were just smart great kids. Cherish all those memories, and extra prayers will be sent from Florida. God Bless the entire family.

Bob and Family, My sincerest and prayer filled condolences to all of you. I have always admired Chris since our days with NFDA. I have a particularly fond remembrance of a private conversation with her at a meeting in Lake Geneva, WI. She was an encourager then and beyond, as Chris was the inspiration for us to begin a Grief Support with Yoga class here in Pittsburgh. Because of her, hundreds have been helped in their grief journey. May peace settle gently into your hearts.

To know we will all someday venture down this road is not to say we are prepared for the ache the loss of one we love leaves. To read Chris’ obituary and see her smiling face, however is to acknowledge her loss but more importantly to acknowledge a life packed full of accomplishments, experiences, love and the blessings of family. When meeting Chris she always radiated a warm and kind spirit; may her kindness, warmth and love continue to carry you all through this difficult time. May she move gently with all your love as she takes this journey on her new path. Our thoughts are with you.

I chose the Pink Rose for it is the color of The Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon and thought it befitting to Chris. Mayweather-Pacquiao? No. Chris Biggins vs. Cancer was the greatest fight ever. And if cancer had to play by any rules, Chris would have gone 15 rounds and won by knockout. God bless Chris and the Biggins family. Heaven became a much more fun place on Tuesday.
