Christine Elena (Lynch) Kamppila 71, of Rockland passed away peacefully on May 20, 2022 after a short but courageous battle with brain cancer. Born in Boston to the late William and Mary (Tropeano) Lynch.Brother to the late William G. Lynch.

Chris grew up in Quincy and raised her family in Rockland. She was a loyal employee at the Rockland Federal Credit Union for 37 years. Chris enjoyed an early retirement where she traveled, spent time with friends and family, and simply enjoyed life. She loved family cookouts down the cottage at Brant Rock and looked forward to the family "Ski Weekend" in North Conway for the past 30 years. Chris was an avid Miller Lite drinker, and she loved her Wednesday dinners with her bestie Barbara.

Chris' grandchildren were the light of her life and most recently she was so thrilled to see her grandson Jacob "Coolstring" win the Superbowl at Gillette Stadium for Rockland High School.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Chris' life on Thursday May 26, 2022 at the Magoun Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. Rockland from 4-7pm. Kristen I am so sorry we were away last week and missed being here to say good bye to Chris. I am glad we had those times we shared.......our monthly night out with the girls and over the years becoming a close friend. I still can't believe she won't be there with us. It just shows how we have to live each day and stay close to the friends we love. I'm glad we shared times together and will miss her 💔 RIP my friend 🙏🙏
