Chester H. "Buster" Pratt, Jr., of Rockland March 29, 2007 Age 81. Husband of the late Lena M. (Umbrianna) Pratt. Father of Robert J. Pratt of Halifax, Patricia A. Stevens of Plymouth, Chester H. Pratt, III of Marshfield, Timothy J. Pratt of Hanson, Cynthia M. Byers of CT and Kenneth B. Pratt of Rockland. Brother of Phyllis Funder and Muriel Thayer of Abington. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. . A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, April 3rd at 9:30 AM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. ROCKLAND. Calling hours took place on Monday, April 2nd from 5-8 PM. Buster died on Thursday in the Brockton VA Medical Center after a period of failing health. He was born in Hanover, son of the late Chester H. and Edna (Burbank) Pratt, Sr. and was raised and educated there. He was a World War II veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Pratt has made his home in Rockland since 1945. He retired in 1975 after a twenty year career with the Farm Bureau of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Buster was a member of the Josselyn Cummings Post #149 of the American Legion in Hanover. He participated in 4H activities and was proud of his own livestock that he raised at his home in Rockland. Burial followed the services in Hanover Center Cemetery.
