Obituary For Cheryl D. Woodes

Cheryl Darlene Woodes passed away peacefully in her home to meet her best friend, Jesus, surrounded by loved ones on July 8, 2026. She was born to her parents Rev. Calvin G. Witham and Clara (Bonnie) C. Campbell on September 1, 1945, in Manchester NH. Cheryl is survived by husband Ronald Woodes, daughter Rebecca Wilcutts (Walter), stepdaughters Sherry Woodes and Rhonda Woodes, granddaughters Corinne Naylor (Brent) and Brandi Naylor, brother Jerome Witham (Linda), sister Mary Etta Grabowski (Edmund), and many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She has joined her parents, Calvin and Clara, and siblings Gary Witham (Gloria) and Juanita Bardon (Gary) in Heaven where they are certainly celebrating their reunion.

Cheryl was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in East Rochester, NH, and had a knack of knowing who needed to know the pure love and understanding that only Jesus could give, for friends and even perfect strangers. She lived her life in unshakable faith and displayed it through every celebration and hardship she experienced. Cheryl attended the New Brunswick Bible Institute in Canada and became a pastor’s wife with her first husband, John Ehrlich. After surviving breast cancer, she was self employed and cleaned houses with the motto to “color them clean”. She loved to draw, read, and observe the beauty of nature and animals. Above all, she loved spending any time she could with her loved ones.

Please join Cheryl’s family and friends at the Rockland First Baptist Church at 200 Union St., Rockland MA on Friday, July 17, 2026 for a viewing from 9:30-10:30 AM and funeral service at 10:45. Her burial will follow the service in Hanson, MA around noon, followed by a celebration of life back at the church in Rockland. All who loved Cheryl are welcome to join and celebrate the incredible legacy she left behind.
