Dear mom, you will be missed. I want to say thank you for all that you did for Peg, the boys and me. You were always there for us in good times and bad. We were blessed to have you as a nana, mother in law and mom. We will always remember your trips to Amherst and spending time with us. There was always a cup of tea waiting for you at our house. You are now with dad again, your partner for life. We know that you will be looking over us as we march through life as our guiding. angel. Your loving and grateful son. Michael

Aunt Char, My Godmother, My Aunt, and My friend. When I was young life seemed to be an eternity but as we age, we quickly realize how time is fleeting and every moment must be cherished. The moments that I have spent with you will forever more be with me in my heart and soul. Thank you from the depths of my heart for the love and support that you have given me. I know that you will be with me in spirit. Your words of inspiration and encouragement will continued to be heard. I now have an angel in Heaven looking over me and I know you will be whispering in Gods ear. With all my love, God Bless you and keep you in his care. Kathy Hartford (Costello, Cavanagh, Hennesey, Boland... .)

Most of our memories of Aunt Char were of her smiling, joking, having a good time and just enjoying life. This poem seemed to fit her... My Last Party By Bert Price When you come to my last party, don't come with faces long But come with memories that are pleasant, in your heart, let there be a song. The place will be full of flowers and I will be dressed grand The only thing I shall be sorry for: I will not be able to shake your hand. When you come to my last party, a celebration it will be, The daily paper will print the invitations, that everyone might see. I am going to hold it in a church-like place and no one will be turned away. At the place where I hold my party, many of my friends will come to pray. When you come to my last party, we won't play any games, But there will be a register, where you may sign your name. As you stand there and sing my praises, in voices so silently, Telling each other or thinking, of what good things you know about me. When you come to my last party, my Lord will host, Because 'tis he 'amongst all my friends, who really loves me most. He bore my cross at Calvary, He bears my cross today. When you leave He will still be with me, to comfort me on my way. When you come to my last party, in spirit I'll be there, and I will know just how much all of you did care And when you say that I look pretty, That is as it should be, Because at my last party-who should look prettier than me? I did the best that I know how, It's up to God to take care of me now. We love and miss you, Jim and Ellen

Char sister's have a special bond and I couldn't have asked for a better sister to share that bond with than you. I always knew that you would be there to listen and offer an encouraging word whenever life would throw us a curve. I love you so much and miss you with all my heart. The only comfort I have is in knowing that Charlie and Jim where waiting to welcome you home.

Nanna you are my best friend, from the late night phone calls after work, listening to my speeches for school or hearing about my crazy adventures you always were eager to listen. No one is as good of a listener as you and no one loved life as much as you. I was always in awe when you would tell stories of how you grew up and how much the world has changed. I love you, you cannot be replaced. You truly are a one of a kind woman... I know you often referred to yourself as a "chicken" but you are the strongest woman I have ever met. With all my heart, you will be missed. Love, Patrick

Aunt Char, you will be sorrowfully missed. You were of a generation that cannot be matched today. I will always be reminded of you through your words of encouragement and your acts of kindness. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your devotion to my mother during here illness. Every week, you sent my mother several inspirational cards that lifed her spirits when she felt hopeless. You gave her blessings beyond what words can say. I am certain you have played a great part in helping my Mom through this, the toughest battle she has had to face in her lifetime. It was not enough of you to just send one card. Every week like clock work, Mom could expect two in the mailbox. I know how much you meant to Mom, as she feels the emptiness and sorrow in your passing. Though your voice has been silenced your memories will live on, and in these memories there are moments to be forevermore cherished in both our hearts. PS: There will be a specail toast at this year's Christmas Party. It will be commemorated to you and the drink for this moment will be..., you guessed it, "Aunt Char's Kahlua Sombrero" and yes, Mike will make them. God Bless, God speed, and may you be carried upon angel's wings on your journey home. Love, Jimmy Hartford (Costello, Cavanagh, Hennesey, Boland....)
