Obituary For Charles P McEntee

Charles P. McEntee, 89 of Boston, died on April 10, 2011 at the Spaulding North End Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Boston, son of the late Charles and Elizabeth ( McCourt) McEntee and was raised and educated in N. Easton. Mr. McEntee was an Army veteran of World War II.

A longtime Greenfield resident, Charles has made his home in Boston since 2002. He was active in civic affairs having served on the Greenfield board of the United Way. Charles was a member of the Blinded Veteran’s Assoc. and had served as a board member for the Theatre District Civic Organization and the Mid-Town Cultural Council. He was an avid advocate for senior citizens rights.

He is survived by his wife, Mary W. (Homans) McEntee. His daughter Patricia A. Kelley of Milton. And his step children Kevin Wilson of ME, Keith Wilson of FL, and Elizabeth Van Burgh of AK. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. ROCKLAND from 12:15-1:00 PM. Funeral Home Service 1:00 PM. After cremation, burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, 103 Old Iron Ore Rd. Bloomfield, CT 06002.

    Charles was a GOOD man and one of the BEST patients I have ever cared for. He always knew our voices and never did he say a cross word that I ever heard.. A truly respectful man to the end. Charles will be missed at our facility. God bless you Charles and may God be with Mary and Pat always.
