Obituary For Charles McPherson
Charles J. McPherson, 88 of Rockland died on November 18, 2012 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a period of failing health. Charles was born in Boston son of the late Charles and Alice (Maher) McPherson. He was raised and educated in Brighton, graduating from Brighton High School. Mr. McPherson was a proud veteran of our armed services serving in the United States Army.
Charles worked for over 30 years for General Motors in Westwood as a Parts Manager. He also was the owner of Harp Auto Parts in Rockland. Mr. McPherson was a member of the Democratic National Committee, the Abington V.F.W. a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and also worked as an Election Poll Volunteer.
Loving Husband of Margaret M (Doherty) McPherson of Rockland. Father of Andrew C. McPherson of Rockland, Susan J. Tenore of Rockland, Charles McPherson of FLA, Donald McPherson of Fall River, George McPherson of Franklin, and the late Elizabeth O'Neil. Brother of the late John McPherson. Grandfather of Ken O'Neil of Bolton, Robyn O'Neil-Manning of Northboro, Alyssa Corriveau of Rockland, and Jonathan Corriveau of Rockland. Also survived by 6 Great Grandchildren.


The McPherson family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Charles' life at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. Rockland on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Church in Rockland. A Private Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

Wow... My heart is sad...The world has lost another truly wonderful man. He was a loving & caring friend to my parents and family. My deepest sympathies to the McPherson family. He will be sorely missed and forever loved by all of those who were lucky enough to know him.
