Obituary For Charles "Chuck" Philip Labrecque

Charles “Chuck” Philip Labrecque (September 12, 1956 - April 14, 2025)

Chuck Labrecque passed away peacefully at his home in Halifax, MA on April 14, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Salem, MA and raised in Beverly and Salem, MA, Chuck was the son of the late Norman and Joanne Labrecque (Gagnon). He was educated at St. Anne’s in Salem, MA and Bishop Fenwick in Peabody, MA for grades 1-12 and attended Framingham State College and UMass Amherst, the latter where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration. That education served him well professionally but also personally. Chuck loved to cook and bake and shared special recipes with his sons.

After working 10 years at the comptroller of the Barnside Tavern in Hanover, MA, Chuck started C & A Associates Inc in 1985 at his kitchen table. Over time, it took over 2 rooms of the house as Chuck added employees and clients, then moved to their Hanover office in 2007. The business eventually became AccuTrac Services specializing in payroll, bookkeeping and consulting.

Chuck had an amazing ability to envision how things would look. Chuck’s vision took a four room ranch, and changed it over time into a home that has grown with his family. He told the architect what rooms were required when the second floor was added. He designed the addition of the family room, redesigned the front room into a dining room, and created the design of the pool area, patio masonry, and fish pond. Then later, the annual flowers he planted (daffodils, hydrangeas, roses, apple trees) kept the yard beautiful all year long.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 45 years Anita J. Labrecque (Varner) of Halifax, MA. He is also survived by his son, Kevin A. Labrecque and his wife Martha A. Labrecque (Bell) and one

grandchild, Douglas Charles Labrecque of Holbrook, MA. He is also survived by his sons Joshua J. Labrecque of Rockland, MA and Daniel A. Labrecque of Halifax, MA.

Chuck is also survived by his siblings Denise Herlihy (Labrecque) and her husband John Herlihy of Dennis, MA, Linda Burns (Labrecque) and her husband Robert Burns of Westfield, MA, Annette Comer (Labrecque) and her husband Richard Comer of Effingham, NH, Kenneth Labrecque and his wife Janet Labrecque (Ours) of Greenfield, MA, and Edward Labrecque and his wife Masayo of Japan.

Chuck is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends. He made an incredible impact on many lives and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

Visiting hours for Chuck will be held at Magoun Biggins Funeral Home on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Holy Family Church in Rockland at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to:The Halifax Food Pantry ℅ Halifax Congregational Church 503 Plymouth Street/Route 106

Chuck was one of the scout leaders while I was the Boy Scouts in Halifax. He was always so patient, understanding, and jovial. I remember my time in scouts very fondly, and Chuck and his family played a big part in that. I'm sad to hear of his passing, and my thoughts are with his family as they go through this loss.

Kevin, There is never a "good time" or we are never prepared to lose a loved one especially so young. I didn't know your dad but he sounds like a wonderful family man. I hope that you hold close and find comfort in those that you hold dear. To you, your family and your great staff at AccuTrack My deepest condolences in your profound loss.
