    Dear Taft family,

Growing up on Phillips Street, I have so many happy memories of your Mom. Years later, we would run in to each other at mass at Holy Family. Your Mom was always so sweet to our mother when she would see her, especially in the last years of our Mom's life when her eyesight and hearing weren't the best. I wish I would be able to express my condolences in person, but I leave tomorrow for Florida. May you all find comfort in knowing that your Mom is at peace reunited with your father and those she loved. May God rest her soul and give you all peace.
