Obituary For Carol B. D’Alessandro

Carol Blanche (Lennox) D’Alessandro, age 85, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, surrounded by her loving family, following a recent diagnosis of liver cancer.

Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Affectionately known as “Grandma,” she cherished her family deeply and treasured the time she spent with them.

Carol was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on August 28, 1940, to Blanche Forsythe. She graduated from Jamaica Plain High School in 1959. Carol worked for many years at Quincy Savings Bank, where she formed lasting friendships that she continued to cherish throughout her life.

Carol found joy in the simple things. She loved playing card games with her grandchildren and sharing a glass of wine—or two—with her lifelong friends. She also enjoyed sewing and lovingly made colorful pillowcases that she donated to children’s hospitals, bringing comfort and joy to children in need.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Blanche Forsythe and John Lennox; her siblings, Gordon Lennox and Joan Monroe; her beloved husband of 23 years, Harry D’Alessandro; her daughter, Donna McIntosh; her stepdaughter, Kathleen Morley; and her former husband, Donald MacIsaac.

She is lovingly remembered by her son David, his partner, Nicole O’Brien, and his children: Brianne, her husband, Michael Gallen, and their son, Patrick James; Stephanie; Jillian Davis, her husband, Jack, and their son, John III; and David Jr.

She is also survived by her son, Jason MacIsaac (Quincy Police), of Weymouth, and his wife, Rose, and their children, PJ, Hunter, MaryKate, Mady, and Cole.

She is lovingly remembered by her son-in-law, Robert McIntosh, and his daughter, Sarah, her husband, Justin Strazdas, and their son, Finley.

Carol was also a beloved stepmother to Terry MacVarish and her husband, Fran, of Marshfield; Paul D’Alessandro and his wife, Valerie, of Leominster; Thomas D’Alessandro and his wife, Pamela, of Kingston; Maria Gerrish and her husband, John, of Bridgewater; Joseph D’Alessandro and his wife, Carol, of Lakeville; Christina Welsh and her husband, Jim, of Bridgewater; and Stephen D’Alessandro and his wife, Noreen, of Hanover.

Carol will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of family and friends, and the many simple moments of happiness she shared with those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Carol’s family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate her life in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home on Wednesday September 9, 2026 from 3:00-5:00 PM. A collation will follow in the Common Market Restaurant in Quincy from 5:30-7:30 PM.

In lieu of Flowers a donation to Croi Health charitable Hospice
