My condolences to George, Rachel, and Georgie. Carol and I were friends when she taught with me at East Jr. High in Braintree. We even went cross-country skiing together. My husband and I thought she was beautiful inside and out. Her smile and warmth were special. Mary Keelon, a former math teacher at Braintree High School who also died too young, and I once went to your home for lunch and met George and saw many pictures of the family. Family was number 1 to her. I also have a granddaughter named Rachel and we would share family stories. She taught Math to my son Rich and he learned a lot from her. She was an excellent teacher and a warm, caring person to everyone. I am so sorry I did not stay in touch after I retired. I would have visited her and we would have laughed and cried together. My prayers are with your family. We were both religious and I know she is at peace with the Lord. My prayers go out to the family and to all who knew and loved her. Priscilla Lyons-I taught English at East Middle School for 20 years and for the following 17 years I was a guidance counselor. I did spend one year at BHS in guidance and would have lunch with Carol many times. I went back to the middle school because I loved that age and she loved teaching at the high school. She was a great teacher and an even greater person!!

Carol and I connected as soon as we met. To know her is to love her. I'm sorry time didn't allow us to spend more time together. I admired her vibrant love for life. She didn't want to leave so soon. We mourn with you. May you find peace and consolation in the love of Jesus. Carol's faith, hope and courage is awe inspiring. My heart and prayers go out to you, George, Rachel and Georgie in this great loss. God Bless you. Ollie

Carol, although many years have passed since your days at St. Gregory's and lots of living on both our parts, I recall your beautiful, sweet presence as we made music together. You were always a joy, always with that wonderful smile. I indeed was blest to have you as a student, enriching all with your talents and goodness. Now I think of you being constantly loved by our Creator God and interceding on our behalf. Until we meet again in the fullness of our transformed selves. Loving you, Julie (Sr. Julie Miriam)

"Make new friends but keep the old; one is silver and the other's gold." Carol Ann was one of my gold friends, starting in grammar school, through high school, college, and to the present. We shared the joy of music and sang together side by side for four years in choir and glee club, and later played our guitars and sang folks songs as young adults. Also, Carol played the violin and I was delighted to accompany her on the piano several times. We remained friends for life and as recently as May 10th(!), she was with us to celebrate another high school friend's birthday at a restaurant in Southie. Five of us shared a wonderful day of good conversation, laughter, a leisurely walk around Castle Island, and the joy of simply being together. I'll never forget it and will cherish the happy memory of what we couldn't know then would be our last visit with Carol Ann. I know that she is in Heaven with Jesus and the Blessed Mother, and is singing with all the choirs of angels. We will miss her terribly but we know that her suffering is over and that she is resting in perfect peace.

Having Carol as a very dear friend was an honor. She followed her Lord throughout her journey on this earth and was a personal inspiration and strength to me. I will miss our talks, shopping sprees, dining out and trips to Maine. Carol's presence and memory will always be there for all.
