I had the privilege of working with Carmen for several years.....she was the bravest person I've met. You never would have known she was fighting something so serious......she was always upbeat. My heart goes out to her family & friends......Carmen left us too soon & will be sorely missed.

Dear Mike, Laura, and Lisa Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel about the loss of Carmen. She was always quick with a laugh and such a joy to interact with. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead. Life on earth will never be the same without Carmen, but Heaven is a much sweeter place having her there.

Carmen was one of the first neighbors to introduce herself when I moved to Norwell. She made me feel welcome then and in the 35 years that followed. We shared many laughs and stories over the years. Carmen had so much strength and was an inspiration to so many people. She always had a beautiful smile on her face no matter what was going on in her life. I really enjoyed and will miss, our "breakfast club" with other neighbors where we got together and got caught up on what was going on in our lives. Carmen was a special person with a zest for life-my favorite memory is seeing her on the back of a motorcycle with Mike! I will keep her family in my prayers and I will always remember her with love and admiration. Love you, my friend, Carmen. Love, Ginny

Dear Mike, Laura, Andy, Lisa, Jason and family, Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you as we celebrate the life of your wife, mom and sister. Knowing Carmen the last 15 or so years since Laura and Andy began dating was to enjoy the thought and company of a smart, dynamic, loving and fun lady. How she loved to laugh! Lisa, I am so sorry to hear the news. I know how long she has been fighting. I can't help but take a step back. As devestated as you and your family feel right now, please take comfort in the fact that you were there for her through out her struggles with this horrible disease. Just being there, holding her hand, is more comfort than many can ever imagine. She got to see you married and she got to know your daughter. What a blessing!! Please know you and your family are in my thougths and prayers. Do not EVER hesitate to pick up that phone when you need to vent. You have done the same for me many times over. My love to you and yours. Cindy Cowing

Carmen's glass was always half full and from the pictures here I believe her life was completely full...but way too brief. May she rest in peace and the beauty that she was.

  • 05/25/2021

I've been thinking of Carmen a lot lately. I had felt bad we lost touch. I tried to facebook her to reconnect, then I googled her and found out the horribly sad news. Such a shock, what a dynamic person she was. I worked with her for a few years at Kluwer, and myself, Carmen and Susan all sat near each other at work. We worked hard, but found time to laugh a lot. She was so fun and so full of LIfe, and so supportive to me when i needed encouragement, she was uplifting.I left Kluwer, got married (she had a wedding shower for me at the Marina on her boat). and moved to Maine to be co-owners of B&B with my new husband. We all joked that I was going to own a B & B ,I was the least domestic person we all knew, so it was our joke that I made such a drastic life change. Carmen came to my wedding , and had since visited me at the B&B. We also saw each other each time I came town for awhile . It was always fun seeing her. Then Life got so hectic, and I moved to Florida and didn't get home as much. No excuse, it was my fault for losing touch. but EVERY time I thought of Carmen I always smiled/or laughed and will always have such great memories of her. I am shocked that she is gone, and so sorry for your loss. I know how much she ADORED her family. She was always a strong, stubborn, Loving, wise, Fun person with the best heart and sense of humor. ONe in a million!!! . your family is in my prayers. I pray that your hearts can heal enough to remember the good times and be able to smile again. Carmen I'm sure, is watching out for you all up above. She wouldn't have it any other way!! sooo sorry!! Sincerely Karen Main
