Obituary For Barbara J. Williams
Barbara Jean Williams
February 14, 1953 - July 16, 2024
Barbara Jean Williams, 71, has returned to her heavenly home. It is with great sadness that we announce her sudden passing on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones on this day.
Barbara was a kind, caring, compassionate and thoughtful person who will be dearly missed by her family & friends. She was always there to lend a helping hand and provide words of kindness or encouragement to anyone who crossed her path.
She was able to live out her final years in retirement enjoying the things she loved the most: spending time with family & friends, building puzzles and playing games with her friends in her community, spending time with her church family and community in bible study, music nights and pot luck lunches.
Barbara was born in Pittsfield, MA, but lived in many places throughout her life, including Massachusetts, Florida and Louisiana. Her final home was in Rockland, MA. She made many friends and loved ones along the way, touching many lives.
She joins in Heaven her parents Grace & Robert Phelps and her brother William “Bill” Phelps. She is survived by her brother Dale and wife Sandy Phelps, sister Debrah Bailey, brother Roy Phelps, daughter Tina and husband Eric Berry, son Edwin and wife Kallie Williams, and grandchildren Kimber Foster, Matthew Ramirez, Emma Ramirez, C.J. Marcello, Evan Williams, and great grandchildren Michaela Lantz and Asher Ramirez. She also had many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
May we all carry a piece of Barbara’s light and memory with us as a constant reminder to cherish the relationships that enrich our lives, for they are the truest treasures we carry forward.
Barbara had a passion and love for butterflies her entire life. Spread your wings and take flight.

Barbara was always a beautiful butterfly 🦋 now she spreads her wings to fly and watch over all of us. I will miss her dearly. I was waiting to see her when she came back to Florida. But, God had a different plan and journey for her. I have known Barbara for over 25 years, she helped me in many ways, always with love and kindness. She was like a second mom to me and grandma to my boys that she babysat and helped home school. I will never forget her. My prayers go out to her family as they work threw this difficult time. Barbara would say, don't be sad, celebrate, because she is with Jesus now. May Jesus guide us all. Amen 🙏 Bobbi Duncan

Ms. Barbara always had a smile to give and was such a personable, sweet lady. She said hi 👋 to me just the other day it seems on social media... She was always just saying hi 👋 and making me smile. I was close with her daughter, Tina and family, once upon a time. Those were very lovely days and happy memories I'll treasure always. 💞 Rest in peace, Ms. Barbara.

Barbara was a beautiful person and a close friend. We spent lots of time doing puzzles, playing games or just sitting around chatting. She was a kind person to everyone she met. My condolences to all of her family. I was blessed to have known her.. 💕. Carol Constantino

My Mamma used to take my brother Eddie and I along the roadside in mass to go hunting for the chrysalis pods that are turning into butterflies! We would put them in cups on the windowsills and when they were finally ready to open their wings, we could see them airing out the wings and we would release them outside and watch them fly around them away... ❣️

My Mamma brought me to live in my favorite place since a kid growing up in Maynard Mass to Sunny North Central Florida!
