Mom, Wow, where do I begin! The measure of a person's life is not the dates from birth to death, but that little dash in the middle represent your lifetime, and you should be proud of that dash! Raising 7 kids at the age of 47 alone, I cannot believe we are all still alive!! You raised us with such compassion, strength and balance. We have all succeeded in life in different ways, but ways we are individually proud of. We are all so different, yet so close. I'm at peace knowing that you are finally with your soul mate, Dad and he will help look out for you and us now. You were an incredible woman, working full time in retail at the age of 73 (I know you will be mad at me for telling everyone your age, but the secret is out). I remember telling you all the time to retire and enjoy life, it's too short, but you always said you couldn't afford it. I know now you were lying and you so enjoyed getting up in the morning with the purpose of making people HAPPY. To get to The Christmas Tree Shop where everyone LOVED you! And you made sure anyone you knew got the DISCOUNT!! LOL You have left behind an incredibile legacy, 7 children, 15 grandkids and 5 great grandkids all of whom lives you have inpacted in such an inspirational way. Your presents will be so sadly missed, but we know you are in a better place. You will always be so close to our hearts, and your spirit will always be with us. I love you and look forward to seeing you again in Heaven! Give Dad a hug for all of us. I love and miss you!

Julie & Family, I think after spending time with you all last night, what i want to say to you all is that your Mom/Grandmother would be so proud! I think she is watching you all, and she is just smiling at her beautiful Family! I think you have done Barbara proud in her final days! She was able to pass in such peace feeling all the love around her. Julie I will remember your Mom as the firecracker she was! I will always smile when I remember her chasing us out of the house yelling, as we went off to get into trouble! Thinking of you Julie, and all of you Guys!! Debbie Batchelder

I think I speak on behalf of my whole family when I say that your mother was singlehandedly the hardest working woman I have ever met. She worked so hard all these years to provide everything for her children, for that she is very well respected by all who knew her. Most of all she was a beautiful woman, inside and out. We all loved her, and will have very fond memories of her as we grew up in the neighborhood. Thinking of all of you, and sending you our love.
