Arthur (Artie) J. Nordgren, 80, of Rockland, Massachusetts, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at South Shore Hospital following a brief illness.

Arthur was born on September 9, 1945, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Carl and Edna Nordgren. Known to all as Artie, he had a lifelong love of motorcycles and boats and enjoyed spending time with his ham radios, hunting, and collecting antique guns. He was also well known for his passion for lively political discussions with anyone willing to engage.

Artie is survived by his sister, Raye Nordgren of Halifax, Massachusetts; his children, Elaine Fanning of Halifax, Massachusetts, Erica Bertrand of Chatham, New Hampshire, Dawn Currier Paul of Hyannis, Massachusetts, and Tyler Nordgren of Halifax, Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Joshua Becerra of Huntington Beach, California, Jessica Fanning of Westbrook, Maine, and Caitlin Fanning of Venice, California; and his great-grandchildren, Caleb Bertrand of Chatham, New Hampshire, Colton Noble & Lillianna Noble of Westbrook, Maine, and Jose Becerra of Huntington Beach, California.

He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
