Obituary For Anne F. Pinkham
Anne Francis Pinkham (Sweeney) passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Monday, March 27th, after a long battle with breast cancer.
Loving mother of Jamie Thompson and her husband, Sean Thompson of Kingston. Beloved daughter of the late Hugh J. Sweeney and Marie G. Purtell. Devoted sister of the late Hugh Sweeney and his wife Dianne Sweeney of Vermont, Jane Sweeney of Quincy, Eileen Howell and her husband, David Howell of Stoughton, and the late Michael Sweeney of Quincy. Cherished Grammy of Gisella, Cruz, and Mason Narda, and Brooke, Lucas, and Hayden Thompson. She also leaves behind her three grand dogs, Lucy, Daisy, and Teddy, who brought her so much happiness in her final years. Anne is also lovingly survived by many friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Anne was born and raised in Westwood and lived in Quincy before settling in Hull, where she would spend the majority of her life. Anne attended Northeastern and graduated from the New England School of Photography. She had a deep love for the beach and collecting sea glass. She lived a life of service, working for those in need throughout her life, including the Shattuck Hospital, Father Bill’s, Victory, Hope Found Boston, and Wellspring. She was passionate about helping people, always offering a hand and never accepting anything in return. Anne fought tirelessly for 13 years, never giving up hope, and despite her pain, always made those around her smile and laugh. Her circle of friends was vast, as her kind spirit and delightful sense of humor naturally drew people in. She enjoyed her daily commute to Boston through Hull Gut, having a Rollin Rock at Jo’s Nautical, her favorite small-town bar, or celebrating with friends after the annual winter charity Drowned Hogs plunge, which benefits Wellspring. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of life service on Saturday, April 22nd, from 11–1 pm in the Magoun-Biggins funeral home, 135 Union St, Rockland. There will be a life celebration following the service.
Donations in memory of Anne can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Center and Research.

Annie was my life long friend. She was a ray of sunshine and made the best of every situation. I will miss taking her to lunch and we would talk for hours. Even in her worst pain she was always ready to go out. I will miss our afternoons and her friendship. She never judged a person for what they had but found the good in everyone. Annie I am so happy you are out of pain. You earned your wings and I am sure you will watch out for Jamie, Sean and all your grandkids.. till we meet again.. love you and will have an Expresso martini in your honor. 💔

My Dear Friend Annie.I found myself watching a baseball game on tv & Carl Yaz's nephew was playing. I wondered across the miles if you were watching. Years ago in the mid 70's you & I went to Fenway for 3 nights in a row sitting up in the $5 bleacher seats to see Carl Yaz hit a 3k base hit & the crowd went wild.I closed my eyes and the tears come again as I once again realize.,But then some peace does come - cuz I picture you with you brothers by your side & your parents at your shoulders. And you got the best seat in the house. You will be missed here.

Anne was a very special person I will treasure in my heart forever. I remember the first time we met and she said I was the one. I was her caregiver but more of a friend as she was as well to me. We talked almost daily even when I was not caring for her. She was so special to me. I miss her tremendously. She was such an inspiration to me. I'm so sad she is gone from this world but happy she is no longer suffering. She fought so long and so hard. She is now at peace. The strongest person I've ever known. God bless all who were left behind. JOY

Anne had a way of seeing beauty in everything. I remember a card she made. She took a picture of the grass in the marsh, changed the grass from green to purple and called it fairy grass. Anne was a beautiful sole! Lots of love to the family.

Our beautiful Annie..... despite her pain she made everyone smile. I'm unsure if anyone realizes as well what a talented artist/photographer she was. I have attached a few photos of the beautiful gift she gave me recently; handmade and so gorgeous. I will treasure it and her forever. I love you Anne, Love Rosie xxxx
