Annalene V. (MacDonald) Strachan, 96 of Plymouth, MA died on December 29, 2015. She was born in Flat River, Prince Edward Island daughter of the late Albert and Laura (Matheson) MacDonald. She was raised and educated there and came to Boston at age 17.

A longtime Rockland resident, Mrs. Strachan was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 124 and she loved to cook, do needlepoint and play cribbage. Wife of the late John A. Strachan she was the mother of Kenneth R. Strachan of Maine, William Jevens Strachan of Rockland, Mary J. Strachan and the late John B. Strachan. She was the sister of Marion MacKenzie, Lucille MacLean, Edythe Gillis and Albert MacDonald all of Prince Edward Isle. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery in W. Roxbury.
