Anna M. Toohey (Whelton), (81)of Rockland, died at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 after a period of failing health. She was born in Boston, daughter of the late William and Catherine (Cooper) Whelton. Anna was raised and educated in Boston and attended the St Patrick’s School. Anna enjoyed playing Bingo, camping, shopping and cooking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Wife of the late of Edward T. Toohey. Mother of Kevin W. Toohey of Plympton, Geraldine F. Hutchings of VA, Edmund J. Toohey of Westport, Noreen A. Hutchings-Horton of Hanover, Michael G. Toohey of Rockland, Liam P. Toohey of Rockland, and Tara M Toohey of Weymouth. Also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The Toohey family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Anna’s life at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, ROCKLAND, on Thursday, Janurary 20, 2011 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday January 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
