Anna (Salalaiko) Bottazzi, 94 of Rockland died on December 12, 2007 at the South Shore Hospital after a period of failing health. She was born in Fords Village MA, daughter of the late Marcella (Streegha) and Fabio Salalaiko. Anna lived in Fitchburg for over 50 years before moving to Rockland in 1976. She was an avid Red Sox fan, and loved to crochet. Mrs. Bottazzi was a longtime member of the Rockland Sons of Italy, and often volunteered at their Bingo nights. Anna loved to go out to eat, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Wife of the late Fabio Bottazzi Sr. She was the mother of Fabio Bottazzi Jr. of Leominster, Pasquale M. "Pat" Bottazzi of Rockland, and the late Catherine M. Valcourt. Sister of Vera Cadieux of Fitchburg, and the late Jennie Guijda, Virginia DeBarge, and Sophie Veach. Also survived by 4 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. A Funeral was held from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St ROCKLAND on Saturday, December 15th at 8:15 AM. A Funeral Mass followed in Holy Family Church at 9:00 AM. Calling hours will be on Friday, December 14th from 5-8 PM. Burial was on Tuesday, December 18th at 11:00 AM in St. Bernard's Cemetery in Fitchburg.
