Obituary For Ann C. Moran

Ann C. Moran, 84, of Rockland passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016, surrounded by her family at Mass General Hospital in Boston. She was born in Roxbury, daughter of the late Mortimer and Julia (Connolly) Cronin.

Ann was raised and educated in Roxbury attending St. Patrick's Parish School. Before starting her family, Ann worked as a bookkeeper for The Kasanof Bakery in Boston.

Ann was the wife of the late William J. Moran, who predeceased her on February 18, 2013 - they were married for 52 years. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Maria (Tony) Lambert of Marshfield, Matthew (Cary) Moran of Rockland, Theresa (George Feroli) Bell of Whitman, and her eight grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters in law and many nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her 11 brothers and sisters. Ann was an accomplished seamstress, beginning by teaching herself to crochet at a very young age, and made many beautiful gifts for her family. She was also a talented operatic singer, and on many occasions would harmonize songs with her brothers and sisters at family gatherings, a very special treat. Her special joy in life was just being 'Nanny' to her grandchildren. The Moran family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate her life on Friday, December 16, 2016, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union Street, Rockland, MA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Holy Family Church. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.

It's the harmonizing with your brothers and sisters that I shall remember you the most, Aunt Ann! I pray for the day that I can join you, my mother, and all the other "Cronin Clan" to sing " the old songs in 6, 7 or was it 8 part harmony? Either way it was glorious!! Rest In Peace till then!
