Obituary For Alice M. Taylor

Alice M. (Gallant) Taylor, 79 of Brockton died at the Good Samaritan Hospital after a period of failing health on August 21, 2013. She was born in Brunswick, ME daughter of the late Amos and Clara (Mulburry) Gallant and was raised and educated in Hanover.

A Brockton resident for the past 50 years, Alice had been a longtime employee at Anton's Cleaners in the city as a presser. She was an over the top avid fan of Englebert Humperdinck.

Wife of the late Carleton F. Taylor who died in 1980, she is survived by her children, Deborah L. Arena and Stephanie Summers of Rockland, Edward M. Taylor, Jr. of Pembroke, Bonnie M. Arena of Hanson and Steven C. Taylor of Brockton. She was the sister of Charlotte Durkin of NH and James Gallant of Hanover. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her special friends Anne McLaughlin, Amber Hayes-Fuller and Mary Titus.

The Taylor family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate her life on Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 5-8 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. Rockland. A Funeral Service will be celebrated by Rev. Danielle Alexander of the Channing Unitarian Church in the funeral home on Monday August 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Rockland. Donations in her memory may be made to the Kareen M. Arena Benefit Account c/o Rockland Trust Co. 288 Union St. Rockland, MA. 02370.
