Obituary For Albert Taylor

Albert L. Taylor Jr. , 83 of Hanover died on October 1, 2011 at the Brockton V.A. Healthcare Center after a period of failing health. He was born in Boston son of the late Albert and Mabelle (Tyler) Taylor. He was raised and Educated in Winthrop, and would later attend the Lowell Institute. Albert worked for 41 years in the Earth Resources Lab at MIT before retiring in 1993. Mr. Taylor was a longtime member of the Phoenix Lodge A.F and A.M in Hanover. Husband of, the late Grace (Coleman) Taylor. Father of David L. Taylor of Weymouth. Brother of Mabelle St.George of Winthrop, and the late Dallas F. Taylor, and William Taylor. Uncle of, Larry R. St. George and his Wife Nanci of Winthrop, Judith Meinhardt, and her Husband George of Haverhill, and Dallas Taylor, Jr and his wife Janice of Billerica. The Taylor family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Albert's life at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. Rockland on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 9:00-11:00 AM. A Funeral Home Service will be celebrated Wednesday following the visitation at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Hanover Center Cemetery.

    Dad, I wish I had a way to let you know how much you meant to me and loved you!!! Everyone that you touched is sorely going to miss you! A day doesn't go by that I don't have a emptiness of missing you!!! But I know you are in a better place back with mom!! Take care Dad, I love and miss you!!

    I knew Al from church and we were both members of the Phoenix Lodge. He was always a gentlemen and I enjoyed many conversations with him during the coffee hour following worship. May many fond memories and faith sustain all who were dear to him.
