Obituary For Agnes A. Brown

Agnes A.( Onbashian) Brown, 80, of Rockland, died Thursday, February 25, 2016, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a brief illness. She was born in Rockland on September 12, 1935, to parents, Emasdoohi (Nalkrunian) Onbashian and Vartan Onbashian.

She was raised and educated in Rockland where she was a lifelong resident. Wife of the late James E. Brown of Rockland and longtime friend of the late Clifford Morrison of Rockland,

Agnes is survived by daughter Valerie A. Mulready and her husband Joseph Mulready, and daughter Shani L. McGarry. She was the beloved Grandmother of Elizabeth Mulready, James Mulready, John Mulready, Emma Mcgarry, and William "Buddy" McGarry. She is also survived by Niece Jean Dunn of Marshfield and Nephew Aram Onbashian of Rockland and Sharlene (Morrison) Austin and Kim (Morrison) Bartholomew, whom she thought of as family.

Agnes worked as a bookkeeper since 1974 for the Arbo Machine Company in Rockland. She was a very active member of the First Congregational Church of Rockland and enjoyed traveling, dining out, playing bingo and spending time in the company of friends and family. The family welcomes friends and relatives to celebrate her life on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street Rockland, from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:30 AM in the First Congregational Church of Rockland. Donations in her memory may be made to the First Congregational Church, 1 Church St. Rockland, MA 02370.

    Valerie and Shani, Your mother was a very special person with a huge heart! She never complained and went out of her way to please everyone.
