Abigail A. (Lee) Stevenson, 77 of Rockland died on November 28, 2015 after a period of failing health. She was born in Rockland, daughter of the late David and Marion (Kennedy) Lee and was raised and educated in Brockton.

A committed mother she prided herself on bing a homemaker and had previously worked as a stitcher at E.T. Wright Shoe Co. and several other Brockton shoe manufacturers. She has made her home in Rockland for more than 60 years.

She was formerly a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Rockland Aerie Ladies Auxilliary and she enjoyed gardening and caring for her many cats over the years.

She was the mother of Deborah L. Dooner and Denise M. Flood both of Rockland, Arthur D. "Butch" Derochea of Plymouth and the late Gail Marie Derochea. She was the grandmother of Brian, Christopher and Adam Flood, Kelly Hill, James Dooner and the late Kyle Dooner. Also surviving are 4 great grandchildren. The family invites relatives and friends to celebrate her life and respectfully requests that informal attire be worn on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, Rockland from 10:30 AM-11:30 AM. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Spring Lake Cemetery in Rockland. Donations in her memory may be made to the Standish Humane Society, 622 Congress St. Duxbury, MA.
