Irene. So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. He was such a big teddy bear. So many memories of our times together when our husbands were off duty. Mike's laugh was infectious. Your family's strength will help you in this difficult time as your strength will help them. Rest in peace Mike. The Buiel family.

I also lived in Wyman Fields up the street from the Brady family. Mike was older so I did not know him well. Reading these messages it seems he had a life well lived. To be thought so highly by so many people shows what a man he was. Prayers for all his family. His brother Richard who I listened to many a record on a little record player on the back porch of his house. May he rest in peace.

Irene, Scott, Nicole, Matt and the entire family, I am so saddened over the passing of Mike. It is hard to believe I first met him delivering the morning newspaper to Mike and Irene on Glen St. back around 1969. Little did I know years later I would be working along side Mike and becoming friends. Mike was really a friend to everyone, a great mentor on how to treat and deal with people. Needless to say he was also the funniest guy to work with on the department. Mike was a wonderful family man, who along with Irene raised 3 beautiful children. My retirement to Florida was made so much easier and fun to able to get together with Mike and Irene and our fellow retirees over the years. Things won't be the same, but wonderful memories with you Mike will last forever. Jack

I was deeply saddened to hear of Mike's passing. My association and friendship with him was formed and solidified by his commitment to the DARE program and Otto the Auto. I greatly admired his desire and efforts to keep the children of Rockland safe. May God bless Irene, their entire family and circle of friends.

I am so sorry Irene. I was shocked and terribly saddened to hear of Mike's passing. Mike and I were each other's first friends when our families moved to Rockland (Wyman Fields), and lived next door to each other. We were 5 years old. We lived, slept, ate, and breathed baseball together day and night. He was the pitcher and I was the catcher (literally). We would take the bus, train, and subway to Fenway and get bleacher seats for 75 cents back in the day (when we were in Little League), then would move to the box seats after the second inning. No one ever stopped us. We made our first communion together and our confirmation. Only a few know this but didn't have a middle name until confirmation. We both selected "Joseph" as our confirmation name. Mike used Joseph as his middle name from then in out. . We were always in the same class together at Jefferson Elementary School. We lost track of each other after I moved back to VT the beginning of my a senior year. If it hadn't been for Facebook, we might never have reconnected. To me, Mike will always be the young friend I walked the railroad tracks with from Coal and Grain to downtown Rockland to our little league games or to just go the the park to meet other friends, so many times I could never count. Rest In Peace my friend. Thoughts and Prayers for Mike, and to you Irene, and your family. 🙏😇❤️ Semper Fi Michael 🇺🇸 Duff O'Connor

My deepest condolences to Irene and family. I was shocked to that Mike had passed away and know he will be missed by all who were fortunate to know him. Having grown up in Rockland, Mike was a year behind me at RHS. He was my friend, a fellow police officer with my Dad, Angelo, who thought the world of him, and a dedicated role model for the students I taught at the middle school. Everyone lucky enough to have Mike as a friend loved his smile and great sense of humor. Although we didn't meet often these past years, I always knew he was just a FB message away. I will miss your services by just a day when I return from Florida and remember bumping into and Irene at the airport last spring as we all came back to MA. RIP, my friend. I will hold you in my heart forever. Caroline Umbrianna Goode

I'm so sorry to read this. I remember Mike stopping in for coffee at the snack bar at my first part-time job at the old Stop & Shop in Rockland where his Mother worked also. Mike was always so nice to everyone and was someone I have never forgotten about even after almost 50 years. My deepest sympathy to his family and all that knew him, 🙏 💔. RIP Mike
