To the Burnieika family, I am so sorry for your loss. I loved your mom, she was such a sweetheart. I remember the days when my husband, Don and your mom would talk endlessly about what they planted in their gardens and what kind of flowers/plants they plan to get. I'll never forget the day Don passed, Your mom came over with a handful of Red carnations to put in his casket. We hugged and cried and as your mom said, "He's way to young!" Although my heart breaks for your mom, I just know that they are going to sow the biggest and prettiest garden up there in heaven. Rest in Peace my dear Mary XOXOXO Linda Cartwright

To the entire Burnieka family: I was so sad to hear of the passing of your Mom. To Sharon & Chris - I'm thinking of you both as you weather the next days ahead. While I never met your mom - it's clear she was a very special lady. I admire her fondness for returning, I share that with her. I'm unable to attend her memorial - were out if the country. My love to you both. Be strong and remember her well, with love and humor, it sounds like that's what she would want you to do. Hugs to you all, AD

God works in mysterious ways. I accidentally dialed Ann's phone this evening and that's how I learned of Mary's passing. My mother Rosemary was, I believe, the oldest grandchild in the Murphy family and Mary was the youngest. Because of the age difference of Mary and my mother, my sister Rowie (Rosemary) and I were the same age as Mary, all born in 1949. My sister in January and I was December and Mary was in the middle. We lived in NY and every summer we would visit my grandmother in Boston, Mary's Aunt May, Upon arrival, the first thing my sister and I would want to do is call Mary! We have so many fond memories of the days we spent with Mary, learning the ins and outs of Southie! We would walk to City Point and Kellys and then to Aunt Sue's. ( I might add that I have always believed the Aunt Sue was my grandmother's favorite sibling!) When Ro and I were in Boston last fall we intended to get together with Mary and her sisters, but unfortunately due to illness we were unable to make it happen. I am so sorry it didn't happen. Rest in Peace Mary in God's arms; you were a beautiful person as can be seen by the beautiful family you raised. Til we meet again, Cathy and Rowie

Adam and family. I'm so sorry to learn about Mary's passing I have known your family for almost 40 years you guys were the best neighbors anyone could ask for. Always offering my mom a hand and Mary was always looking out for my mom as she was getting older. My mom thought the world of Mary and I know she found Comford knowing Mary and Adam were next door. I know how much love was in your home I was fortunate enough too have seen you guys grow up as a family. My mom passed a few years back and after 65 years we no longer own our home next door But I will always cherish the memories of watching you guys as a family. Adam you and Mary always showed me and my children kindness when we would come to Rockland to see my mom always let us swim in your pool. ItI was a pleasure and a honor to have known Mary. I know you will all find a place for your sadness in time and you will be able to smile and laugh with joy as you share your memories of Mary. Rest In Peace Mary you were an example of how one should live there life. Bob Connors

Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. She was someone that showed love thru her actions. Mary was that person that would show up at the hospital at 3:00 am if her sister needed her. She spend many years and many hours visiting her sick niece and would be that support whenever someone needed her.I have so much love and respect for this lady for the truly wonderful person that she was. Her smile and her laugh along with her love for her family, coffee and sweets were Mary! I know I was truly blessed to have her in my life as my Aunt. She was that someone that was there for everyone else. Love you Mary and continue to watch over all those that love you! You will be missed always.

Mom It's me I'm trying to keep thing's in order for you, Trying to be the organized one and be strong for everyone it's tough. I miss coming home and seeing you at the dinner table waiting to talk to me about my day. I'm going to miss the phone call's for me to pick you up a Medium Iced Coffee Extra Ice. I'm going to miss picking you up random flowers at the store, to bring home to put on the dinner table. You never stopped fighting for me starting at birth when me and Ryan almost died. You and Dad visited us everyday in the hospital no matter what. You didn't have to do that with other kids at home and working. You and Dad worked hard to give our family what we needed and then some. You didn't let us go without for Christmas or Birthdays. You're a perfect mother because you gave up thing's you should and could have had. I can't Thank You enough Mom for being you, I want you to know you overcame and fought til the very end. Your a fighter, you didn't give up, You loved your grandchildren and know this mom they will still love you and they will miss you terribly. I've never seen you smile more, then when the Front Door would swing open and in came Taylor, Matt, Luke ( Yes you had to look down at Matt and Luke) or when Cole and Owen, Kenzie, Ava, Austin, and finally your new grandson Mason all would come over. It was Chris get up let Taylor sit down or which ever grandchild was over. Mom I'm proud to be your son, All I have is tears right now because I miss you, a big piece of my heart is gone. You were my Rock and Support System for Thirty-Seven Years, I will continue to Love You, Visit You and Make You Proud. Fifty Three Years of Marriage with "Bob" Dad, you guys have known each other since you were Twelve Years Old, That's along time of LOVE, it takes a special couples to be together that long, What you two showed your children is that Love can work, It's not Perfect, you make mistakes, but you forgive and move on. Thank You for being the Perfect Wife for Dad, you took care of him when he had cancer, and we drove into Boston to see him everyday. You stood by his side and you made tough decision for him. Please know that he returned the favor and had your back every single day, made sure you weren't in pain and he Loved you to your last breath. Now is the time, to say see you later, because it's not goodbye, it's until we meet again. I LOVE YOU Fly High and watch over us god know's I'll need it. Love your Son Christopher XOXOXOXOXOXOX

To the Burnieika family - my heart is broken for you all. She was a lovely soul inside and out and even though I only had a few interactions with her, it was apparent how wonderful she really was and how much she loved her family above all else. You truly have an angel forever. .
