Janet will truly be missed by all who knew her. I can remember going to the family home with Margie when we were friends at Holy Family. I was struck by how beautiful and kind Janet was- even to her siblings!! Over the years it was always a treat to hang out with Janet in good times and bad and she never changed. I remember Janet ironing her clothes each morning before going to school(RHS). I remember her writing a term paper the morning when the paper was due the same day. She got an A for that paper. She was very smart. I remember I had just turned 13 and she helped me by informing me how to deal with "monthlies", what to use and how to use the. I also remember that Janet and Jeannie Connors took myself and Margie to J.J. Pubs to be served liquor for the first time. Polyester pant suits were being worn!! I'm not asking God why he took Janet so early. I'm thanking Him to put such a great person in my life, when I needed her most. So sorry for your loss Mike and your family.

Dear Petrosevich and Mitchell families, I am so very sorry and how my heart breaks learning of the loss of such a kind- beautiful person as Janet, I send my love, prayers and condolences to you all. I met Janet at her childhood home on Myrtle Street through my best friend Margie (God rest her soul) in 1968-69. I always looked up to Janet so dearly and have so many fond memories with her. We had such fun playing bumper pool, dancing in the living room, swimming, cookouts and just talking with Janet, Margie & family. Janet had the biggest heart because it was always growing to make room for a new family member or another friend. She was so kind and loving and I always saw her with her beautiful smile and twinkle in her eyes. Janet was always so kind to me and she made a positive-loving impact on my life and will always be in my heart. Although I have tears in my eyes, I know you are Resting in the Lord's arms. Janet and her brother Robert were both my math students at RHS. They were wonderful students. Both were kind, generous, caring, shy and hardworking. I am stunned by the news of Janet's passing.
