Obituary For David A. Ewell

David A. Ewell, 71, passed away peacefully at his home on Rockland, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
David was a graduate of Rockland High School. He retired in 2016 having worked for the Tedeschi Realty Corporation/Keypoint Partners for more than 30 years where he made some lifelong friends. David was well known for his years of services with youth sports in town, having been active in coaching and various booster organizations throughout his life. His love for sports was only surpassed by his love for his family. David’s home was the focal point of years of celebrations and get togethers. Whether it was a holiday party, a family reunion, or just a summer weekend, the cars were always lining the street in front of his house. The times that were had there will live on in memories forever.

David was predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years, Danice M. Ewell, as well as his parents Ralph and Rita Ewell. He leaves behind his daughter Deirdre Thibault and her husband Roger and his son Derek Ewell and his wife Ann Marie. He was the devoted “grampy” of Kyle Thibault. David is survived by his brother R. Wayne Ewell and his wife Cathy, his sister Leanne McGuiness and her husband James, and his brother Peter and his wife Kathy, as well as many nieces and nephews. By his side for the last 7 years, was his devoted companion Victoria Deibel.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life Monday, November 15, 2021 from 5-8 PM at Magouns-Biggins Funeral Home at 135 Union Street Rockland. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 9 AM at Holy Family Church. Burial will be at the Holy Family Cemetery.
