Obituary For Brenda Borkowski

Brenda Borkowski (Joyce) passed away peacefully in her home in Rockland, Massachusetts on March 3, 2023, at the age of 62. She was born in Quincy, Massachusetts, to Stella Joyce, and was a resident of Quincy, Weymouth, and Rockland throughout her life. Brenda's mother, Stella, passed away years ago, but Brenda held onto her memory every day.

Brenda is survived by her beloved daughter, Jenn Borkowski and her partner, Alex Murphy of Georgetown, NY. She also leaves behind her two grandpups Ranger and Maggie, who brought her so much joy in her final years. She is also survived by her brother and best friend, John Joyce of Quincy, and his daughter, Erin Joyce; her brother Dave Drake and his wife Diane of Chesapeake, Virginia. Brenda cherished her family and friends and always made time for those she loved. Her two lifelong friends, Michelle and Patty, were always by her side, and their bond remained unbreakable until the end.

Brenda graduated from Quincy High School in 1978 and went on to lead a fulfilling life. She was passionate about her cats, especially her beloved cat Marlin, and her love for animals was evident to all who knew her. Brenda discovered a newfound love for painting in recent years, and her artwork brought her peace and comfort. She loved to share her paintings with friends and family, and her talent was admired by all who saw her work.

Brenda had a deep love for Garth Brooks, and his music was always playing in her home. From a young age she loved music, from the Beatles to Aerosmith and everything in between, she may have even been Donny Osmond’s biggest fan. Brenda was an avid sports fan, and her passion for the Bruins and the Patriots was unmatched. Her love for Tom Brady was well-known, and she never missed a game.

Brenda’s family welcomes relatives and friends to celebrate her life at a visitation at the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St. Rockland Thursday 16, 4-7 PM. Burial will follow on Friday 17th at 11Am at Pine Hills Cemetery Pine Hill Cemetery 815 Willard Street in Quincy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will be treasured forever. Rest in the sweetest peace, Brenda Borkowski (Joyce).

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to the Massachusetts Humane Society Inc., P.O. Box 850177, Braintree, MA 02185-0177 or a pet shelter of your choice.

I grew up on Brooks Avenue in Quincy with Brenda and her brother John. And their mother Stella was friends with my parents. Brenda was always a bright light. Always so happy to see me and my sisters. Always filled with positive energy. She was very funny and so full of life like her mom Stella. Her love of family was constant. And her being a mother of her beautiful daughter was her life's fulfillment. I was happy to be able to keep up with her on Facebook and so shocked to read of her passing. To John and Jen, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope she is in the arms of her mother sending love and light to those whom she loved and who loved her the most. Prayers and Blessings. - Robin Ciccone

Brenda, although not related I had the pleasure of seeing you at so many family get togethers...you could sing the Schnitzelbank at Herb and Roberta's with gusto and always had a joke to share.... I will miss you and hope you are resting in peace, reunited with your mother Stella.

We were lucky to have a special visit from Brenda at the Rogalski house in November, we laughed and talked for hours around the table . She gifted me a beautiful hand made piece of art that is hanging in my wall . I will remember her fondly for her sense of humor and love for friends and family. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. May her soul be at peace
