Robert J. Biggins

Robert J. Biggins, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, Chief Executive Officer

A first generation Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, Bob has a deep passion for his profession and diligently strives to bring the best products and services to the local communities.

He received his education at the former New England Institute in Boston which later became part of Mt. Ida College in Newton. Mr. Biggins remained involved at the college for several years as a member of the Board of Academic Overseers, Presidential Search Committee and later as a member of the College Board of Trustees.

His desire to excel has brought him many valuable opportunities. He has served as President of both the Massachusetts and National Funeral Director's Associations, is a member of The Board of Trustees of the Funeral Service Foundation, the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and was awarded the Professional designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner, (CFSP) for his commitment to continuing education. In addition to his professional endeavors Bob is active locally as a member of the Hanson Kiwanis Club, Rockland Knights of Columbus, Rockland Eagles Club as well as the Rockland and South Shore Chambers of Commerce.

Bob has travelled extensively as a speaker to numerous funeral service associations, suppliers and students. He is a well-respected presenter on many topics and brings his love and dedication to our profession wherever he can.


Daniel J. Biggins

Daniel J. Biggins, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, President

dan@magounbiggins.com View Dan Biggins' profile on LinkedIn Daniel J. Biggins is the President of Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and he holds a degree in Bereavement Studies from Mt. Ida College in Newton. His desire to serve the community in funeral service was evident as a young man and he pursued his goals successfully to gain full licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as well as the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards.

Mr. Biggins serves as the Chairman of the Rockland School Committee and provides hours and hours of service to his hometown of Rockland. Dan is a former recipient of The Rockland Kiwanis Club, "Unsung Citizen of the Year" Award, and was recognized by Mount Ida College as their 2013 Alumni of the Year. He is a member of the Massachusetts and National Funeral Director's Associations, Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, Rockland Council Knights of Columbus, Rockland Eagles Club, Rockland and South Shore Chambers of Commerce and is a communicant of Holy Family Church.

He serves as a media spokesperson for the NFDA. Dan also served on recent strategic planning initiatives for the MFDA. He has been a presenter at several national conventions using his experience in a family owned business to colleagues of his age from across the country. Dan was chosen by NFDA to be a spokesperson in response to the HBO series "Six Feet Under" and was prominently featured in the last episode of that award winning drama.

He and his wife Danielle reside in Rockland where they are raising their three active and involved sons.


Kathleen T. Cluff

Kathleen T. Cluff, Office Manager and Funeral Assistant, Chief Operating Officer

kathy@magounbiggins.com Kathleen T. Cluff is the Chief Financial Officer of the funeral home. Her dedication and careful oversight of all of the funeral homes records and revenues is invaluable. Kathy also assists with visitations and funerals providing tender touches for our client families.

She is frequently described as our "Director of First Impressions" due to her kind voice and soothing demeanor to all that call into our facility.

She is a member of the Rockland Kiwanis Club, enjoys golf and spending time with her family. Kathy and her husband Mark reside in Kingston.



Taylor M. Thompson

Taylor M. Thompson, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

taylor@magounbiggins.com Taylor M. Thompson is a graduate of the Funeral Institute of the Northeast and has successfully completed both the Massachusetts State Board and International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards requirements and is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer at our family funeral home.

In addition to his funeral directing and family assistance, Mr. Thompson manages our "Care Center" tenderly and reverently providing his technical expertise and preparation talents. He is a member of the Massachusetts and National Funeral Director's Associations.

Taylor and his wife Deb reside in Pembroke with their two active sons.
